RxTx
TXRX (short for receive/transmit) is a series of installations that anticipate the exchange of information with other forms of life in the universe as a way to overcome technological collapse.
In an era of technological explosion, where the existence of our civilization is threatened, compelling arguments can be made for technological development aimed at balanced prosperity in each specific environment. Techno-diversity, in terms of installation and performance, is achieved through eco-positive technologies such as LEDs, lasers, rechargeable electricity, and the broadcast of a sound accompaniment for personal listening at low, environmentally-friendly volumes, at a justified distance from the point of composition.
The abandoned architecture of the industrial era (in the case of the first site - a hydroelectric power station in the middle of the mountains) is subject to being rethought for new uses and repurposing.
